Reliability Engineer, OP Data Platform (Helsinki/Oulu)

What Is This Role About?

As a Technical Expert in Reliability Engineering within our talented platform team, you will collaborate on the architecture, development, and continuous improvement of the Azure Databricks based platform's reliability. You will take full responsibility for the operational resilience and continuity of the OP Data Platform. This requires a proactive approach to manage the platform's complex, multi-layered architecture and its hard dependencies (including Cloud Service Providers, Databricks, and OP Cloud Platforms). Ultimately, you will be the key driver in pushing the platform toward higher levels of business criticality and availability, ensuring reliability across all critical dependencies.

You must be sharply focused on deliverables, prioritizing quality overtime spent to ensure lasting, reliable solutions. 

This opportunity is available in either Helsinki or Oulu, based on your preference. Like the rest of OP Pohjola we work flexibly, combining both office days and remote work.

Key areas we work with and the skills we value in this role: 

• Cloud & infrastructure (Azure, Kubernetes, Docker) 
• Development & scripting (Python and general software development skills) 
• Infrastructure as code (Terraform, Ansible) 
• Monitoring & observability (e.g. Dynatrace, Splunk, Grafana, Elastic)  
• Experience working with scalability, reliability & production environments 
• Experience from regulatory requirements (BCBS239) 

We also value self-initiative, good teamwork and communication skills, process development, and the ability to identify the risks associated with technical dependencies. Proficiency in English is also essential in our international environment.
