We are now looking for a Senior Data Engineer to join our AI Tools & Engineering team in OP Pohjola’s Development and Technologies organization. In this role, you will help enable the effective use of AI tools across the company and contribute to building shared technical capabilities that support productivity and innovation. What Will Your Role Be Like?

As a Senior Data Engineer, you will be an important part of enabling efficient and secure use of AI tools across OP Pohjola. You will collaborate with software and data development tribes, business analytics, and technology teams to create scalable data solutions that support AI-driven productivity.

Your Teams Responsibilities Include:

• Boosting productivity: Helping teams make the most of AI tools such as Microsoft Copilot and our internal tool Maiju
• Accelerating development: Designing and scaling agent-based AI solutions within our software and data development environments
• Using AI in enterprise platforms: Integrating and optimizing AI features in Guidewire, Dynamics CRM, and Genesys Cloud together with analytics and development teams
• Building shared capabilities: Developing and maintaining technical solutions like Azure AI Foundry and Copilot Studio to ensure OP’s data is used efficiently and securely

Your first and primary focus will be, however, in accelerating and scaling use of AI in Data Engineering. 

This opportunity is available in either Helsinki or Oulu and like the rest of OP Pohjola we work flexibly, combining both office days and remote work.

• Experience with Data and AI tools and platforms, such as Azure AI services, and e.g. Databricks
• Understanding of agile development practices and the ability to work closely with software and data development teams
• Ability to ensure data security and compliance when implementing AI solutions

While we highly regard technical expertise and relevant work experience, we also seek individuals with a genuine passion for learning, especially for a role that spearheads data development within the entire OP Pohjola. Demonstrating initiative, strong teamwork skills, and a positive attitude are equally crucial attributes we value. For this role English is required, and knowledge of Finnish is a plus.
