Position Overview:
Responsible for Citrix administration including designing, installing, configuring, maintaining and testing, diagnosing system problems, backing up and restoring systems, participating in disaster recovery, ensuring activities are within IT policies and procedures, recommending ideas for policy and/or procedure changes, evaluating and recommending software and hardware products, and documenting procedures and activities.
Essential Job Functions:
- Systems Administration
- Administer and support Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops environments, including provisioning, configuration, and performance tuning.
- Monitor system health and ensure high availability and optimal performance of Citrix components such as Delivery Controllers, StoreFront, Citrix Gateway (NetScaler), and related services.
- Perform patching, updates, and hotfixes on Citrix components and underlying Windows servers.
- Plan and execute upgrades and migrations with minimal downtime while maintaining system stability.
- Implement and maintain security best practices for Citrix environments, including SSL certificates, access controls, and MFA.
- Ensure compliance with organizational policies and regulatory requirements.
- Monitor resource utilization and plan for scaling to meet business needs.
- Optimize Citrix policies and profiles for performance and user experience.
- Provide Tier 2/3 support for Citrix-related incidents and service requests.
- Collaborate with Help Desk and other IT teams to resolve end-user issues promptly.
- Project Management
- Lead small projects and participate in medium and largescale projects.

Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Technology or related field (additional equivalent experience above the required minimum may substitute)
- 5+ years experience with Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops (XenApp/XenDesktop) administration (additional equivalent education above the required minimum may substitute)
- Citrix StoreFront and Citrix Gateway (NetScaler) configuration and management
- Windows Server administration and Active Directory integration
- Citrix Provisioning Services (PVS) or Machine Creation Services (MCS)
- Performance monitoring and troubleshooting in Citrix environments
- Patch management and upgrade planning for Citrix components
- Profile management (Citrix Profile Management or FSLogix)
- Networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, load balancing)
- Security best practices (SSL certificates, MFA, access controls)
- Scripting and automation (PowerShell preferred)
- Passing of technical evaluation
