The Opportunity
We are looking for a Credit Analyst who is focused, collaborative and experienced in commercial credit. The Credit Analyst will maximize approvals and mitigate risk through the timely and accurate processing of credit applications. This is a contract opportunity for 12 months and onsite 5 days a week.
Requirements:
- Analyze new and existing accounts to assess credit risk; approve and set limits & payment terms in accordance with credit policy and authorization level
- Communicate frequently with customers to ensure timely collection of outstanding balances – this includes both phone and email communication with the customer
- Manage orders: release orders in accordance with company guidelines
- Perform account reconciliations – responsible for minimizing overdue accounts receivable through resolution of discrepancies and disputes
- Communicate customers’ status to management and Sales teams
- Provide reports as required
- Performs other ad hoc duties as required
What Are We Looking For:
- Post-secondary diploma in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration.
- 3-5 years of experience working in credit and collections dept, preferably in a manufacturing environment
- Ability to make sound credit and collection recommendations regarding customer risk in a fast-paced environment
- Strong Analytical skills – intuitive problem-solving skills is a must
- Strong working experience with Microsoft Office (Intermediate Excel)
- Ability to interact with employees and customers in a courteous and professional manner.
- Working hours for this position is 9am to 5pm (Mon to Fri) onsite
