What You’ll Do
As the business grew it became recognised as a separate operation and in 1852 the name Charles Stanley first appeared as an independent member firm of the London Stock Exchange. Today, Charles Stanley is one of the UK’s leading wealth management firms. We provide a range of financial planning and investment management services to national charities, trusts, financial advisers and professional institutes, but our principal business remains as it was over 200 years ago, the provision of a high-quality, personal service to our private clients.
- Engage with centrally generated leads to increase prospect conversion.
- Support CSD clients by improving understanding and delivering positive outcomes.
- Collaborate with Marketing to maintain a steady flow of leads and participate in initiatives to build the CSD brand.
- Provide cover for other CSD services, including Personal Portfolio Service and Service Level Reviews.
- Deliver guidance and advice in line with our advice policy and regulatory standards.
- Contribute to the ongoing development of CSD Financial Plans and Coaching services.
- Share knowledge and experience with colleagues in a collaborative and supportive manner.
- Uphold the ethos, culture, and high standards of Charles Stanley, acting with integrity at all times.
- Ensure compliance with FCA rules, company policies, and relevant service manuals.
- Maintain your Statement of Professional Standing and demonstrate the skills expected of a Financial Planner.
- This role is a Certified Function under the Senior Managers and Certification Regime (SMCR). You will need to be certified annually by Charles Stanley under:
- Functions Requiring Qualifications & Client Dealing.
- Degree level (or equivalent) preferred.
- CII (or equivalent) Level 4 qualification.
- Commitment to maintaining and developing professional qualifications, including achieving Chartered Financial Planner status if not already held.
- Experience providing financial planning advice and cash flow planning.
- Excellent technical knowledge in areas requiring advice.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Comfortable using technology; most client meetings will be via video conferencing.
- Proven client relationship management skills.
- Experience working in a highly regulated environment.
- Understanding of legal, statutory, regulatory, and company policy requirements.
