The Team & The Mission
3Shape Audio is on a journey in transforming the hearing aid industry in working digitally to improve the production of custom fit hearing aids for the convenience of the patients. The journey started around 25 years ago, and now we are on a mission to disrupt the market using AI to bring the production even closer to the patients.
You will join the Audio R&D team, a cross-functional group focused on securing high quality across our solutions through systematic testing, integration validation, and close collaboration with developers as well as product managers. The team works with both on-premise and web/cloud-based products used globally by hearing aid professionals.
You’ll be based in our Kyiv office, working in an international environment with close cooperation across locations. Expect a setup where quality is a first-class citizen, regression is taken seriously, and test documentation is part of the product, not an afterthought.
Areas Of Responsibility:
In this role, you will be accountable for ensuring the quality and reliability of our solutions by:
- Performing manual testing of new features and bug fixes
- Conducting regression testing to safeguard existing functionality
- Executing integration testing across components and systems
- Creating and maintaining test documentation based on requirements and specifications
- Collaborating closely with the development team to clarify requirements, reproduce defects, and align on acceptance criteria
- Providing clear, structured defect reports and retest feedback
- In collaboration with your colleagues you will improve our test processes by setting clear goals through our test strategy.
- Constantly challenge status quo by introducing continuous improvements of our testing processes and practices.
To succeed in your role, you should possess the following skills and competencies:
Core Experience:
- At least 5 years of manual testing experience
- Good knowledge of software testing methodologies (functional, regression, integration, exploratory, etc.)
- Ability to work with virtual machines (VMware, VirtualBox or similar)
- Experienced user of GitHub Actions and TeamCity (builds, smoke tests, test runs)
- English level Upper-Intermediate or higher (written and spoken)
Nice to have / will be a plus:
- Understanding of both on-premise and web/cloud-based applications
- Experience in web application testing (UI, API, cross-browser)
- Experience working with test management systems
- Experience with tools like Postman or similar for API checks
- Understanding of version control concepts (Git)
- Understanding of DB & SQL basics (basic queries, validation of data, simple joins)
- Proven track record in working with best practices in quality control. E.g. by having documented experience from a regulated environment like the medical device industry
