The Berlin School of Business and Innovation (BSBI), a part of the Global University Systems (GUS) network, is seeking highly skilled and motivated Freelance Lecturers to contribute to the success of our growing Faculty of Creative Industries in Hamburg. We are looking for industry professionals with a passion for teaching and a proven track record in Animation, User Experience (UX) Design, and Game Design.

Responsibilities
As a Freelance Lecturer, your primary responsibilities will include:
- Teaching and Instruction: Deliver engaging and high-quality lectures, seminars, and practical workshops in your specialist subject area (Animation, UX, or Game Design) to a diverse body of international students.
- Curriculum Delivery: Ensure the effective delivery of modules, aligning content with the learning outcomes of the relevant program (e.g., BA Hons/MA).
- Assessment: Design, administer, and grade student assignments, projects, and examinations, providing constructive and timely feedback.
- Student Support: Offer academic guidance and support to students, including office hours and mentoring for project development.
- Quality Assurance: Adhere to BSBI's academic policies, quality assurance procedures, and maintain accurate records of student attendance and performance.
- Industry Integration: Integrate current industry trends, case studies, and professional practices into teaching materials.
Professional Competencies
Essential
- Academic Qualification: A minimum of a Master's degree (or equivalent professional qualification/experience) in Animation, Digital Arts, Game Design, UX/UI, Human-Computer Interaction, or a closely related field.
- Industry Experience: Significant, relevant, and current professional industry experience (minimum 3-5 years) in one or more of the required disciplines:
- Animation: 2D/3D Animation, Character Design, Storyboarding, Motion Graphics.
- UX Design: User Research, Wireframing, Prototyping, Usability Testing, Information Architecture.
- Game Design: Level Design, Game Mechanics, Narrative Design, or Game Development workflow (e.g., using Unity/Unreal).
- Teaching Ability: Demonstrated ability to deliver complex technical and creative concepts in a clear, accessible, and engaging manner.
- Language Proficiency: Fluency in English (written and spoken) is essential, as all instruction is delivered in English.
- Teaching Certification: A formal teaching qualification (e.g., PG Cert HE, FHEA) or previous lecturing experience in a higher education environment.
- Digital Tools Proficiency: Expert-level knowledge of industry-standard software relevant to the specialism (e.g., Maya, Blender, Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, Sketch, Miro, Unity, Unreal Engine).
- Research/Practice Portfolio: An active portfolio or record of professional creative output, research, or published works.
