The Role

We’re looking for a Senior Data Engineer to join our Group Analytics team. This is a hands-on, high-impact role where you’ll lead data initiatives across Gaming, Food & Beverage, Hotels, Conferences, and Customer departments — spanning our Melbourne, Sydney, and Perth properties.

Working within the Google Cloud Platform, you’ll design and execute data strategies, build scalable models, and deliver real-time insights that drive smarter decision-making. You’ll play a key role in bridging business needs with technical capabilities, ensuring our data products deliver ongoing value.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate and consult with business units and IT teams to identify challenges and translate them into data-driven solutions.
• Design and implement data and analytics models that support insights, operations, and activation.
• Develop and deploy advanced data science models for forecasting, prediction, and alerting.
• Supporting strategic initiatives across other business areas
• Ensure data integrity and quality through rigorous testing, validation, and continuous improvement.
• Help build analytics maturity across the organisation — spanning data, technology, people, and processes.

About You

You’re a technically skilled and commercially minded analytics professional who thrives in a fast-paced, data-rich environment. You enjoy solving complex problems, building scalable solutions, and influencing outcomes through data.

You’Ll Bring:

• Advanced proficiency in SQL, Python and data visualisation tools (e.g. Tableau, Power BI).
• Experience working with cloud-based platforms and big data technologies (e.g. GCP a plus).
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to translate complex requirements into practical solutions.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Science, Business Analytics, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder skills, with the ability to present insights clearly
