Job Title: Project Coordinator Intern
Location: Signal Hill, CA
Job Summary:
Gregg Drilling is a subsidiary of Woocheen committed to sustainably protecting the environment through site investigation across California. Gregg offers a wide range of services for environmental, geotechnical and marine site investigation and remediation.
As the Project Coordinator Intern for Gregg Drilling, you’ll have a unique opportunity to develop professional and personal skills while gaining hands-on experience in planning and coordinating drilling projects. You will work closely with The Gregg Projects’ Operations teams in Signal Hill to support permit preparation, cost tracking, and reporting activities that are essential to efficient and compliant project execution.
Duties/Responsibilities:
• Support operations in planning and scheduling drilling activities.
• Assist in preparing and tracking permits and regulatory submissions.
• Compile cost data and prepare invoices and project reports.
• Help streamline project documentation and workflow between field, office, and accounting teams.
• Gather and organize field reports, cost summaries, and job data.
• Prepare and monitor permit applications and ensure compliance documentation is current.
• Assist in preparing invoice packages and project cost reports.
• Support project planning meetings and maintain project tracking tools.
Possible Projects/Deliverables:
• Assist in the coordinator of multiple drilling projects
• Complete and track required permits
• Develop accurate cost summaries and reporting templates
• Improve documentation consistency across operations
• Gain practical experience in operations management, permitting, and project reporting within the drilling, Geotechnical and construction industries
Required Skills/Abilities:
• Strong organizational and analytical skills.
• Able to both collaborate with a team and work independently
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and digital project tools.
• Detail-oriented with strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Must be a Sealaska shareholder, descendant of a shareholder, or spouse of a shareholder
• Legally authorized to work in the United States
Education and Experience:
• Must be 18 years old at time of hire
• Must have completed coursework or degree program in Project Management, Construction or Engineering, or a related field.
• Must be currently enrolled in post-secondary school/program or a recent graduate (1-2 years)
Preferred:
• At least a 2.5 GPA
• Strong critical thinking and research skills
• Self-starter with ability to adapt to a fast-paced work environment
