Plant Manager- Ostrava

The Role

We are looking for a plant manager in Ostrava for a new plant that is due to open next year to help launch and run this site. You will be leading the setup and the operational launch of a new contract logistics site working very closely with the Regional Project Launch team to ensure that it aligns with DP World's best practice.

Once the site is up and running you will have full accountability in the site's operational performance, financial outcomes, customer satisfaction, regulatory compliance and continuous improvement. You will be the most senior person on site and so will have P&L responsibility alongside people management making sure the site is meeting all of it goals all of the time.

This is quite a large site with a large employee population and so will require an experience plant or warehouse manager who is used to dealing with a complex operation. You will be the primary interface with the customer providing all information that is required as well as taking responsibility for any changes to the operational elements.

Safety is at the heart of everything we do at DP World and you wil make sure that you promote a strong safety culture working towards a zero harm culture. You will contribute to long term business planning and site development initiatives. Sustainability is also a key factor that we are proud of at DP World and you will drive sustainability and energy efficiency goals.

So, who are we looking for?

Key Skills And Experience Include:

• Extensive experience managing logistics warehouses or manufacturing sites ideally within automotive or metal industry
• Experience of senior management and the ability to directly and indirectly manage a large team in a multinational environment
• Strong knowledge of ISO9001, lean principles and continuous improvement methodologies
• Fluent in English and Czech, German language would be an advantage
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
• The ability to manage complex operations and drive results under pressure.
