Operations Manager

About The Opportunity

Based in Milton, Brisbane, you will be reporting to the General Manager Quarries, South East Queensland. We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager whose primary focus will be to oversee the safe, efficient, and effective operation of a portfolio of Boral's hard rock quarries across SEQ. 

Your Day Will Involve:

• Lead with Purpose: Work closely with Quarry Managers to ensure the safe, efficient, and sustainable extraction of raw materials—aligned with mine operating plans, environmental commitments, and future market needs.
• Drive Performance: Take charge of your team’s success by focusing on the management of assets, optimising operations, and meeting production, cost, and sales targets—within set budgets and safety standards.
• Inspire a Culture of Excellence: Foster a workplace where safety is non-negotiable, continuous improvement is celebrated, and innovation drives us forward—keeping Boral at the forefront of the quarrying industry.
• Empower Your People: Build strong, respectful relationships, encourage open communication, and actively recognise the contributions of your team.
• Champion Collaboration: Be an integral part of Boral’s integrated supply chain— producing quality materials for our customers with precision and pride.
• Lead with Insight: Use your technical and analytical skills to monitor production performance, drive improvements through OEE & Boral Production System, and ensure ongoing compliance with industry standards.
• Commit to Quality: Maintain and enhance our Quality Assurance program to ensure that every product we deliver meets specifications and exceeds customer expectations.
• Maintain Operational Excellence: Oversee effective maintenance programs to keep operations running smoothly and safely—every day.
