Position Summary

Beep is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Deputy Program Manager to support our partnership with the Jacksonville Transportation Authority (JTA). This role combines project management (with a strong emphasis on vendor relations and reporting) and technical aptitude to assist in deploying autonomous shuttle services and mobility initiatives in Jacksonville. 

Please note-this is an on-site job in Jacksonville (no remote work).

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate project activities, timelines, and milestones for autonomous shuttle deployments. 
• Serve as the primary liaison between Beep and external vendors. 
• Track deliverables, monitor progress, and ensure on-time completion of all project tasks. 
• Prepare and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including meeting minutes, reports, and action items. 
• Support operational logistics such as site readiness, signage installation, and rider engagement planning. 
• Identify project risks and recommend mitigation strategies to maintain schedule and scope. 
• Assist with community outreach initiatives and rider education events. 
• Collect, validate, and maintain data to support performance reporting and operational analytics. 
• Oversee IT infrastructure, networking, data systems, and cybersecurity protocols relevant to project operations. 
• Collaborate with IT teams to ensure secure data exchange, system integration, and adherence to cybersecurity standards. 
• Maintain accurate records of vendor communications, change orders, and warranty documentation. 
• Manage procurement activities, contract development, and vendor performance oversight. 

Requirements

Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Project Management, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience). 

Experience:

• 3-5 years of experience in public transit operations, transportation technology projects, or related mobility programs. 
• Experience coordinating multi-stakeholder or technology-based projects, preferably in the transportation sector. 
• Strong organizational, analytical, and project coordination skills. 
• Excellent written and verbal communication with exceptional stakeholder engagement abilities.  
• Strong understanding of public agency operations and procurement processes. 
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and project management tools (e.g., Asana, Smartsheet). 
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. 
• Ability to collaborate with other functional teams to define and execute business priorities related to cybersecurity. 
• Familiarity with autonomous vehicle technology or smart city initiatives is a plus. 
• Understanding the software development lifecycle (SDLC) with the ability to communicate effectively with technical teams.
