Position Summary:
A Test Engineer designs, develops, and implements cost-effective methods that result in stable, controlled production test methods of multiple kW RF and DC power supplies. The purpose is to establish a test paradigm that will meet customer’s needs, meeting product specifications with well-documented test processes and data. The data and processes will result in production SPC control to keep product measurements and power control repeatable and cost effective.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Ensure testability of new product designs, providing feedback to design teams addressing opportunities for defects in manufacturing and field use.
- Accurately estimate project costs, production test and labor time as associated with implementing production test solutions.
- Implement test flow and process into manufacturing that includes the software, databases and hardware for manufcaturing.
- Create the test structure and flow of manufacturing, work with engineering to transition to production
- Ability to implement SPC and provide databases and reporting infrastructure to customers and internally
- Own the test requirements that will ensure the product will meet its end specification.
- Prepares test and diagnostic programs in LabView and Matlab.
- Lead MSA’s across multiple sites
- Analyze test equipment capabilities and ensure control of critical parameters of products and test equipment.
- Works with diagrams, layouts and electrical circuit schematics to develop test procedures that will catch failures, ensure reliability and accuracy of RF and DC power supplies.
- Performs operational test and fault isolation on electrical systems and equipment.
- Work with engineering teams in Asia and the US.

- Must have strong problem-solving attributes.
- Able to operate a electrical test equipment – oscilloscopes, DVM, electrical power measurent, spectrum analyzers.
- Capable in hardware and software development.
- Strong at communicating with and influencing design teams, vendors, and customers.
- Demonstrated proficency in NI LabView test application development – muliple years of development.
- Demonstrated development of an entire test paradigm for manufacturing.
- Demonstrated implementation of SPC in manufacturing, design of experiments (DOE), measurement system analysis (MSA).
