We are seeking a proactive and driven Project Coordinator to join our Calgary team. In this role, you will be supporting the labour manager and have access to learning opportunities across several projects. You will be empowered to take ownership of key operational processes that drive project success, trusted to lead critical functions in workforce management, document control, quality assurance, and scheduling, creating space for our leadership team to focus on strategic initiatives, mentorship, and partnership building. Your contributions will directly shape project outcomes, elevate team performance, and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
Duties And Responsibilities
- Take ownership of workforce tracking, headcounts, and burn rates by project; prepare communications for hiring, onboarding, and site transfers.
- Lead the collection and reporting of performance factor (PF) updates; analyze data and flag variances to support decision-making.
- Manage document control for regulatory projects, including non-conformance reports (NCRs/CARs), QMS file structures, submittals, and version control.
- Champion QA/QC at the project level: publish starter packs, log and track defects, and produce monthly quality metrics.
- Support the development and maintenance of mechanical schedules; coordinate schedule reviews and prepare look-ahead reports.
- Contribute to internal audits, management reviews, and training/competency record maintenance.
Qualifications and Job Requirements
- 2 years experience in construction operations, project coordination, or related field
- Familiarity with union environments and workforce planning is an asset
- Understanding of QA/QC processes and safety practices
- Demonstrated ability to take initiative and drive process improvements
- Strong organizational and document control skills
- Proficiency with MS Office and scheduling software (MS Project, Procore or equivalent)
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to develop long-lasting and sustainable productive working relationships with colleagues, subcontractors, and additional stakeholders associated across regions
- Detail-oriented, proactive, and solutions-focused
