Within the Market Development Chapter in the Loyalty Tribe, you’ll work across business and partner networks to bring bold ideas to life. We’re seeking a seasoned marketer with strategic insight, commercial flair and outstanding communication skills to help evolve our loyalty proposition. This full-time fixed-term position (until mid-December 2026) has become available due to an internal promotion, and we’re looking to welcome our next great talent as soon as possible.
As Senior Brand & Marketing Specialist – Market Development Loyalty, you’ll take ownership of value proposition development and go-to-market execution across two high-impact loyalty projects. You’ll translate strategy into measurable market outcomes, driving customer engagement, deepening partner relationships and delivering commercial results. This is a visible, hands-on role where you’ll shape initiatives that strengthen Air New Zealand’s position as New Zealand’s most rewarding loyalty programme.
What you’ll be doing
- Lead the go-to-market strategy for our business offering within the loyalty programme, ensuring it delivers tangible value and engagement.
- Partner with creative and media agencies, and collaborate with internal teams to design cohesive and impactful marketing strategies.
- Manage stakeholder engagement across the business to align market development activities with the broader loyalty vision.
- Oversee and update partner brand guidelines to ensure consistent and effective representation of the Air New Zealand Loyalty brand.
- Manage campaign and initiative budgets, ensuring all spend is efficient, transparent and delivers maximum value in the current economic environment.
- Balance multiple projects and work streams at varying stages of the development pipeline, maintaining strong attention to detail and a structured, process-driven approach.
- Champion the loyalty brand across all marketing touchpoints, maintaining high standards of quality and alignment with Air New Zealand’s values.
- Identify new opportunities for growth and innovation within loyalty market development.
What You’Ll Bring
- A minimum of eight years’ experience in market development, marketing strategy or brand management, ideally within loyalty, digital or partnership-based industries.
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex, concurrent projects with precision and organisation.
- Exceptional communication and influencing skills, able to engage and inspire at all levels.
- Strong experience leading integrated marketing initiatives and managing agency relationships.
- Proven budget management and commercial accountability experience.
- Excellent attention to detail and a deep understanding of brand integrity and execution.

This is a full-time fixed-term role based at our Auckland CBD office.
