Your Mission
Responsibilities
True Anomaly is seeking a highly accomplished Digital Thread Architect to lead the technical execution of a next-generation missile defense program. This is a generational opportunity to architect a solution to some of the most challenging mission sets in missile defense, not to mention aerospace engineering as a whole. You are is responsible for defining and implementing the enterprise digital engineering environment that underpins the design, analysis, verification, and sustainment of the Space-Based Interceptor (SBI) program. This role bridges engineering, manufacturing, and mission operations to ensure digital continuity across the full product lifecycle, from CAD/PLM through MBSE and MES, and enables secure, data-driven decision making across the enterprise.
Architect and lead the development of a fully integrated digital engineering ecosystem spanning product definition, analysis, build, and test. Select, configure, and deploy enterprise tools to support CAD/PLM, Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE), and Manufacturing Execution System (MES) integration. Establish standards for digital thread implementation, data interoperability, and model fidelity across lifecycle phases. Define and enforce system architecture and data governance for digital assets to ensure configuration control and digital twin continuity. Collaborate with engineering, IT, and program leadership to align toolchain strategy with technical and programmatic objectives. Lead execution of pilot implementations and scale them across teams, ensuring adoption and performance. Define metrics and reporting structures to measure digital ecosystem maturity and effectiveness. Ensure cybersecurity, access control, and compliance standards are met across all digital engineering platforms.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications & Experience
- 10+ years of experience architecting and deploying enterprise digital engineering environments for complex aerospace or defense programs
- Hands-on experience with CAD/PLM (e.g., NX, CATIA, Windchill, Teamcenter), MBSE (e.g., Cameo, Rhapsody, or Capella), and MES integration
- Demonstrated experience linking system models, product structures, and manufacturing data in a closed-loop digital thread
- Deep understanding of digital configuration management, model versioning, and data exchange standards (STEP, SysML, JT, etc.)
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage tool integrations across disciplines
- Strong grasp of cybersecurity and IT architecture for secure classified and unclassified environments
- U.S. Citizen and eligible for DoD Secret
Desired Qualifications & Experience
- Experience implementing digital engineering architectures for missile defense, launch vehicle, or spacecraft programs
- Familiarity with data federation and ontology management (CAMEO DataHub, Foundry, OpenMBEE, etc.)
- Knowledge of cloud-based or hybrid compute architectures for engineering environments
- Advanced degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, or Aerospace Engineering
- Experience with Agile DevSecOps principles and model-based configuration management
- TS/SCI clearance
Compensation
- Base Salary: Denver: $195,000-$270,000, Long Beach: $200,000-$280,000
- Equity + Benefits including Health, Dental, Vision, HRA/HSA options, PTO and paid holidays, 401K, Parental Leave
Your actual level and base salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the following considerations: job-related knowledge and skills, education and experience.
Additional Requirements
- Ability to maintain or obtain TS//SCI clearance
- Work Location: this role will be fully onsite at our GravityWorks factory in Centennial, CO
- Work environment is in a standard office, working at a desk or in a production factory.
- Physical demands may include frequent standing, sitting, walking, bending, and lifting or carrying items up to 20lbs.
