Security Engineer - Operations

In this role you will be part of a fast-paced team focusing on Cyber Security Operations in Micron’s IT Infrastructure & Operations. 

Responsibilities And Tasks:

This role will focus on various security technologies within IT cyber security Operations, some of the key areas of responsibility include: 

Identify trends and drive requirements aimed at improving and enhancing existing data loss prevention detection policies. 

Work in a 24x7 rotational shifts

Engineers, configures, deploys, and maintains Firewall solutions 

Develops advanced alerts/reports to meet the requirements of key stakeholders 

Upgrade in-scope security infrastructure to maintain current versions 

Keep patches up to date on in-scope security infrastructure 

Standard escalation to senior staff 

Resolve daily incident requests and resolution 

Maintain an audit review process for policy exceptions 

Fulfill daily service requests and resolution 

Participation in root cause analysis with senior level engineers 

Troubleshooting with end users 

On call duties to quickly respond to and remediate P1 and P2 incidents 

Response and participation on Critical incidents as part of an Emergency Response Team (ERT) 

Qualifications And Experience

Hand on experience in handling and troubleshooting below tools and technologies

o   Firewall – Cisco, Palo Alto preferred or others

o   Web Proxy – Zscaler Preferred ZIA , ZPA or others

o   SSL VPN – Cisco AnyConnect, Palo Alto Global Protect Preferred or others

o   Intrusion Prevention System (IPS) appliances – CISCO Firepower preferred or others

o   IPSEC tunnel configuration and troubleshooting

·       Stateful inspection and managing next gen firewalls

·       Extensive understanding of Remote Access solutions 

·       Knowledge of external services environments including SSL certificate exchange, Remote access solutions, and Business to Business interconnects (site-to-site VPNs). 

·       Firewall management and monitoring solutions 

·       Strong understanding of TCP/IP, web protocols and networking concepts  

·       Experience as a technical lead guiding other technical resources 

·       Ability to balance security with end user productivity for technical controls 

Good to have knowledge of security concepts such as access controls, identity management, data classification and loss prevention 

Understanding of security technical controls 

Minimum of 1 years of IT infrastructure experience relating to layered security products with any combination of the following technologies: 

Network DLP technologies like McAfee/Symantec NDLP 

Intrusion Prevention System (IPS) appliances 

Egress cloud-based web proxy 

Stateful inspection and next gen firewalls 

Remote access and site to site VPNs 

Firewall management and monitoring solutions 

External and Internal PKI 

Vulnerability Scanning Solutions

Siem Platforms

Antivirus and DLP technologies 

File integrity monitoring solutions 

802.1x Policy Management

Data at rest encryption solutions 

Cloud Access Security Broker solution 

Excellent experience with Regular Expressions 

Extensive knowledge of web technologies and concepts 

Strong understanding of TCP/IP, web protocols and networking concepts 

Experience with managing Web/Application Servers 

Ability to balance security with end user productivity for technical controls 

Scripting ability in popular platforms 

Strong communication skills (verbal, written, presentation, interpersonal) 

Strong skills in decision-making, prioritization and negotiation 

Education:

B.Tech degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, other technical disciplines or equivalent work experience.
