Job Description

As a Senior Big Data Engineer on this project, you’ll help clients scale their data solutions and make data-driven decisions while driving enterprise-level innovation.  You’ll work closely with the client to understand both their business processes and analytics needs to design and build data pipelines and cloud data solutions. You will have the opportunity to guide your client through best practices in data lake, data processing, and data pipeline design to help them achieve their business goals. You will work closely with your team, including analysts, dashboard developers, and technical project managers, to design solutions and work together to deliver a world-class solution. You’ll strike a balance of technical skills and business acumen to help clients better understand their core needs and what is possible for a future state.

Role Responsibilities

• Perform data assessment, analysis, and data model design, including deliverables like ERDs and data quality management.
• Develop CI/CD pipelines and other DataOps fundamentals.
• Communicate at the appropriate level to both business and technology teams to understand business needs and pain points.
• Be creative in meeting the client’s core needs with their technology.
• Explain technical benefits and deficits to non-technical audiences.

Qualifications

• 5-10 years of data engineering experience using Python and/or PySpark.
• Extensive experience working with Palantir Foundry.
• Experience working with Azure, AWS, and/or GCP.
• Experience supporting projects end-to-end, from design to implementation.
• Experience designing and developing high-performance ETL and data pipelines with various technologies such as Spark, SparkSQL, Airflow, Talend, Matillion, DBT, and/or Fivetran.
• Experience with Big Data Technologies (Hadoop, Spark, MongoDB).

Preferred Qualifications

• Consulting experience and/or experience working within the utilities industry.
• Previous experience as a data analyst.

Additional Information

At Logic20/20, we believe in recognizing and rewarding exceptional talent. Logic20/20 offers a competitive compensation package, with a target base salary range of $147,600 - $161,766 for this role. The final base salary offered is dependent on factors such as relevant experience, skills, qualifications, and location. Eligible employees may also qualify for performance-based bonuses and other incentives.
