Job Description:

GDIT is seeking a Marine Electrician to help support the SACSS program in Seattle, WA.

This is an onsite position, and no relocation assistance is provided.

Must be a US Citizen

Job Description:

• Installs, maintains, repairs, overhauls, troubleshoots, modifies, constructs, and tests mechanical equipment and related devices
• Troubleshoots and corrects structural placement
• Makes recommendations for improvements or modifications to correct problems
• May provide operation and maintenance instruction to customer personnel

• Performs Preventative Maintenance

• Participates in special projects, as required
• Repairs, installs, replaces, and tests electrical circuits, cables, equipment, and appliances.
• Uses hand tools and testing equipment
• Inspects and tests electrical equipment, lighting, signal, communication, and power circuits
• Isolates defects in wiring, switches, motors, and other electrical equipment using general and specialized testing equipment
• Replaces faulty switches, sockets, and other elements of electrical systems
• Dismantles electrical machinery and replaces defective electrical or mechanical parts such as gears, brushes, and armatures
• Mounts motors, transformers, and lighting fixtures into position and completes circuits according to diagram specifications
• Works from drawings, blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams
• Performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures
• Participates in special projects as required

The likely hourly rate for this position is between $29.84 - $40.38. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
