Established in 2010 and recently acquired by Synechron, a global consulting firm delivering industry-leading digital solutions, we’re poised for significant growth! Our local, dedicated team of 150 professionals specialises in guiding our clients through transformative journeys - from groundbreaking digital transformations to comprehensive technical delivery and ongoing managed support. Our dynamic team is the cornerstone of our success, driven by a culture of collaboration, continuous learning, and a relentless pursuit of excellence. At Chamonix, we are not merely keeping pace with the market; we are leading it, delivering exceptional outcomes that empower our clients to stay ahead of the curve. Join us and be part of a journey where the future is shaped daily.

The Role:

We’re looking for a skilled 2nd and 3rd Level Infrastructure Support Engineer to join our Adelaide team - someone to initially manage our internal SOE rollout project, giving you the chance to make an immediate impact before later stepping into a long-term consulting position supporting our customers across a broad range of technologies.

This role would suit someone looking to step up from support into engineering, or an experienced engineer keen to contribute in a hands-on environment. An ability to obtain an Baseline or NV1 clearance is mandatory for this opportunity as well as immediate availability.

What You’Ll Be Doing:

  • Provide 2nd and 3rd level support across desktop, network, and cloud infrastructure.
  • Support M365 identity and access management (Entra ID, Exchange Online, Intune, etc.).
  • Manage user onboarding/offboarding processes and troubleshoot automation workflows.
  • Work on Secure SOE and Windows Server environments.
  • Collaborate with senior engineers on small infrastructure and modern workplace projects.
  • Assist with application packaging and updates.
  • Assisting with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) activities as part of modernisation initiatives.
  • Basic networking and Azure-based cloud infrastructure support.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of systems, pipelines, and processes.

What We’Re Looking For:

Someone who brings a solid foundation in desktop and server support, and is ready to step into a role that blends hands-on engineering with customer-facing consulting. Ideally, you will have experience across:

  • Prior experience in SOE rollouts and application packaging - ideally you’ve delivered or supported a similar project end-to-end
  • General desktop support including troubleshooting Windows issues, hardware, peripherals, SOE configuration, and endpoint performance
  • Server infrastructure support, covering Windows Server environment maintenance, patching, permissions, group policies, and health monitoring
  • 3+ years experience supporting Microsoft technologies (M365, Entra ID, Azure AD, Intune).
  • Understanding of network fundamentals such as routing, switching, DNS, DHCP, VPN, and firewalls
  • Curiosity to learn and grow into project and automation work
  • A consulting mindset: comfortable communicating with customers, managing expectations, and producing quality outcomes
  • A proactive, adaptable approach — willing to jump in, learn, problem-solve, and work collaboratively across different environment

If you’re passionate about Microsoft technologies and ready to expand your skills across both support and infrastructure projects, we’d love to hear from you!
