Are you an experienced, enthusiastic, and self-motivated Endpoint Design and Implementation Engineer looking for your next challenge? At Copeland, we're expanding our dynamic Endpoint Engineering team, where you'll contribute to designing, setting up, and improving cutting-edge Endpoint Management solutions for use by the Endpoint Operations team.
Join our collaborative environment and play a key role in shaping and enhancing our Endpoint Management Services.
This job is based in Cluj-Napoca, Romania.
We provide a flexible working schedule with the option of working hybrid.
In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
- Design and development: Design Endpoint Management Services and continuously improve them to efficiently provision, maintain, and decommission user endpoints. Ensure OS and application updates/patches are distributed and installed successfully in a timely manner and implement controls to verify that services run as expected across all production endpoints.
- Endpoint management automation: Use scripting (PowerShell) and tools such as Microsoft Intune to automate deployments and streamline other endpoint management tasks.
- Policy management: Develop and enforce endpoint configuration policies using tools such as Active Directory Group Policy and Intune to ensure devices comply with organizational standards and remain protected against threats.
- Documentation and Training: Create clear, concise documentation for processes and systems, and lead meetings to teach others how to correctly operate and use Endpoint Management Services.
- Collaboration: Work closely with other Endpoint Engineering team members and Enterprise IT groups - including security, network, and helpdesk teams—to ensure seamless integration and support.
- Troubleshooting and support: Provide technical support and troubleshoot issues related to endpoint hardware and software.
- Research and evaluation: Stay current with emerging endpoint technologies and security threats to recommend new tools and enhancements to the endpoint architecture.
For This Role You Will Need:
Technical Expertise:
- Hardware: Strong proficiency in understanding hardware components and specifications.
- Applications: Proficiency with Microsoft 365 apps, Power BI, and SQL databases for data acquisition, modeling, and analysis.
- Operating Systems: Deep expertise in administering and securing Windows, macOS, Android, and iOS operating systems.
- Networking: Solid understanding of networking concepts, including DHCP, DNS, IP addressing, and VLANs.
- Security: Knowledge of endpoint security principles, firewalls, encryption, and threat detection.
- Endpoint Management Tools: Experience with:
- Microsoft Active Directory (GPO, ADUC, ADSS, etc.)
- Microsoft Configuration Manager (MCM)
- Microsoft Entra ID
- Microsoft Intune
- Microsoft Autopilot
- PowerShell
- ITIL: Experience developing IT services following ITIL framework guidelines.
- Structured Writing: Strong documentation and process-creation skills.
- Microsoft Active Directory (GPO, ADUC, ADSS, etc.)
- Microsoft Configuration Manager (MCM)
- Microsoft Entra ID
- Microsoft Intune
- Microsoft Autopilot
- PowerShell
Soft Skills:
- Problem-Solving: Ability to perform root-cause analysis and troubleshoot complex issues.
- Attention to Detail: A meticulous approach to configuration and policy management to prevent widespread errors.
- Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills for documenting procedures and collaborating across teams.
- Customer Orientation: A customer-focused mindset that supports the needs of internal teams and external partners.
- Management: Experience with industry-standard project management and support processes, including risk identification and mitigation, project planning, and execution.
- Ownership: A strong sense of accountability and mission.
- Language Skills: Fluent level of English.
Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart:
- Experience with large-scale endpoint deployments in enterprise environments.
- Deep knowledge of macOS, Android, and iOS management (beyond Windows expertise).
