We’re excited to offer two opportunities — one junior and one senior — for enthusiastic individuals to provide high-quality administrative, reception, accounts, and project support for the Accommodation Office. These roles play a key part in supporting an active, student-oriented campus environment, helping create a welcoming and engaging experience for all.

As the friendly face and dependable point of contact for students, staff, and visitors, you’ll ensure our accommodation and homestay operations run smoothly and efficiently.

Whether you’re looking to take the next step in your career or gain valuable experience in a supportive team, these positions are ideal for people who thrive in a busy, people-centred environment and take pride in delivering exceptional service within a vibrant university community.

For the Junior role, the salary range is $58,439 to $70,692 per year, and for the Senior role, $71,275 to $84,695 per year. The actual salary will be determined based on the skills, knowledge, and experience you bring to the position. These are full-time roles (37.5 hours per week), based at our Hillcrest Campus.

The Student Services Division provides a comprehensive range of relevant student services that support teaching, learning and research and enrich the Waikato student experience. The work of Student Services is comprised of the following: 

  • Pastoral Care 
  • International Student Support 
  • Health
  • Counselling 
  • Accommodation 
  • Tauranga campus student support services 

The Accommodation Service is responsible for all aspects of student accommodation including buildings, services and pastoral care as well as the provision of homestay services, accommodation advice and the operation of the University’s rental properties. The Associate Director Student Accommodation is responsible for the effective and efficient management of the Accommodation Service. 

The Accommodation Office Manager is responsible for the management of the Accommodation Office.
