Feast & Fettle is hiring a 3rd Shift Production Supervisor to lead our Culinary Operations team with clarity, care, and consistency. Supervisors at F&F are responsible for planning and executing their shift’s work, supporting team success, and ensuring that every standard for food safety, quality, and pace is met.
This role blends hands-on leadership with thoughtful planning, people development, and real-time decision-making—creating the conditions for a safe, smooth, and high-performing overnight operation.
What is Feast & Fettle?
Feast & Fettle is the fastest-growing meal delivery service in the Northeast—and that momentum comes from a team of smart, kind people who show up to build, not just keep up. We move with urgency, sweat the right details, and bring care to everything we touch.
What began in 2016 as a private chef’s side hustle has grown into a company serving thousands of households, with a mission that’s both simple and personal: to nourish everyday life. That mission shows up in every detail—from how we source ingredients and plan our weekly menus to the care in every delivery and the trust we build at our Members’ tables.
We care for our people the same way we care for our Members—with consistency, thoughtfulness, and a commitment to raising the standard. We invest in our team because we know: when you’re supported, you do your best work—and help us do ours.
What You’Ll Do
Shift Planning & Execution
- Plan each shift by aligning labor, skills, and priorities to production goals.
- Execute against that plan—adjusting proactively for volume changes, timing shifts, or production disruptions.
- Communicate clear expectations at shift start and share outcomes, updates, and follow-ups at shift end.
- Maintain a visible presence on the floor to monitor workflow, support teammates, and keep production on pace.
Team Leadership & People Experience
- Lead and support team members across key production stations (ovens, tilt skillets, flat tops, slicers, etc.).
- Create a positive, inclusive, and safe work environment where associates can perform at their best.
- Provide real-time coaching, correction, and reinforcement of standards; recognize wins and redirect gaps consistently.
- Support onboarding and cross-training to develop skills at every level.
- Address team dynamics early—mitigating conflict, gossip, disengagement, or negative behavior that impacts performance.
Compliance & Accountability
- Ensure full and continuous adherence to food safety, sanitation, allergen, and workplace safety protocols.
- Verify completion and accuracy of recipes, fire chart, and other required documentation.
- Address lapses immediately; retrain or escalate when needed.
- Maintain a clean, organized workspace aligned with FSQA and OSHA expectations.
Cross-Supervisor Collaboration & Handoffs
- Partner closely with other Supervisors to maintain continuity across all shifts.
- Deliver clear, actionable pass-down notes—including staffing updates, equipment concerns, production deviations, or follow-up items.
- Communicate proactively with Production Leadership, FSQA, and support teams to prevent issues and keep work moving smoothly.
Administrative & Operational Ownership
- Review and approve timecards; manage attendance events and time off requests.
- Maintain accurate shift reporting and operational data for leadership review.
- Monitor supplies and tools needed for production; escalate gaps before they impact output.
First Point of Escalation
- Troubleshoot operational, equipment, or interpersonal challenges as they arise.
- Resolve what you can independently; escalate quickly and appropriately when broader support, maintenance, or HR intervention is required.
- Maintain composure, fairness, and transparency in all decisions.
What We’re Looking For
You’re a steady, skilled kitchen leader who brings clarity and calm to a fast-paced environment. You care about people, process, and pace equally—and you know that great results come from teams who feel supported and informed.
You Bring:
- Experience leading teams in high-volume food production, commissary kitchens, or food manufacturing.
- Strong understanding of batch cooking, recipe adherence, food safety, and kitchen flow.
- A knack for organizing people and priorities to keep work moving safely and efficiently.
- Skill in giving feedback with clarity and empathy.
- Comfort navigating technology, production tools, and documentation requirements.
- Ability to lead in a multilingual environment; bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.
- ServSafe certification preferred; in-house food safety training required.
Allergen Notice
Our Culinary Operations teams work with all major food allergens, and all roles involve full sensory exposure (touch, smell, taste). By applying, you acknowledge this environment and understand that allergen exposure cannot be restricted.
