Steel Fabricator

YMH is a leading builder of modular dwellings and commercial buildings servicing the Lifestyle, Tourism and Commercial sectors. With facilities in both Mulwala NSW and Bendigo VIC, all our modular buildings are designed and built to the very highest standards with a true focus on quality.

We are seeking a Steel Fabricator/Welder to join our team in Mulwala, NSW. The position is full-time and based out of our head office in Mulwala with an employer who values your team and solution driven mindset.

Qualifications:

• Trade qualification in Steel Fabrication/Welding from a recognised institution or equivalent work experience is required.
• White Card - (Construction Induction Card)

Skills:

• Interpret technical drawings and blueprints to determine the appropriate fabrication methods.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant welding experience in building construction or related industries preferred but not mandatory.
• Ability to produce high-quality workmanship consistently.
• Ability to prioritise tasks efficiently while working to deadlines.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members.
• Be self-motivated, solution focused and have a positive attitude.
• Physically fit and able to perform the physical requirements of the position.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities:

• Perform steel fabrication and welding tasks according to project requirements and specifications.
• Operate various tools and equipment such as cutting torches, grinders, welding machines, etc.
• Ensure compliance with the National Construction Code, Australian Standards, and all Occupational Health & Safety requirements.
• Maintain a clean work area and adhere to safety protocols at all times.
• Collaborate with team members to complete projects within specified timelines.
• Inspect finished products for quality assurance before installation or delivery.
• Follow WHS requirements & use of correct PPE.
