Full Stack Developer (TEST)

Job Overview

We are seeking a versatile full stack developer who will develop, enhance and provide production support (including level-3 escalation) to web based applications using Java, Spring, Oracle, MSSQL, NodeJS, React & Vue frameworks.  

This position requires a highly organized, analytical, independent, and self-starter individual with strong background in building complex web-based application development using DevOps & agile methodologies, ability to multi-task, and strong written and verbal communication skills needed to work with various project and technical teams onshore and offshore. The ideal candidate is able to drive tasks to completion independently, and able to learn new skills on the job as project requirements expand.   

How You Will Make An Impact

• Support   the day to day development activities by working with multiple support teams, implementing application releases and planning/building enhancements to existing web-based applications  
• Support critical applications and ensure the stability of the applications by performing proactive maintenance activities, code deployment,  engage in automation activities, perform root cause analysis and remediation as needed  
• Participate in standard software configuration management and QA functions and follow standard ITSM/Agile software release and deployment management in harmony with production support processes such as incident/change/problem management, call triaging, escalation procedures, etc .  
• Write and maintain scripts to monitor application performance (e.g. response time, synthetic transaction testing or other methods to test if useful work is being performed) and related activity during operations as well as application smoke test activities during pre and post production implementations  
• Maintain situational awareness to proactively make any needed recommendations regarding application security, performance management, acceleration, caching, etc. and participate in the production support activities (on-call) on a regular basis as a Level-3 subject matter expert for your environment

What You Will Need To Succeed

• A minimum of 5 years’ experience designing and building scalable web based applications  
• Experience with RESTful web services, Java/Spring framework, NodeJS applications, React & Vue Frameworks  
• Strong relational database modeling  and SQL experience (Oracle, MSSQL) f  
• Solid knowledge of testing principle and ability to build comprehensive test suite   
• Demonstrated UI design and UX sensibilities  
• Experience in scripting against Windows/Linux i.e. PowerShell, VB or Unix Shell Script, Python   
• Ability to coordinate the release/deployment process and versioning, code, configuration management  
• Experience with Git/Bitbucket and Opensource Tools and Agile methodologies  
• Experience leading software developers on development best practices as a technical lead  
• Experience with using JIRA (for defect tracking and for ITSM ticketing with Incident/Problem/Change)
