Full Time
Buloke Shire Council is seeking an enthusiastic and community-focused Compliance Officer to join our Community Safety and Development Services Team.
This role plays a key part in supporting the safety and wellbeing of residents and visitors across the Buloke Shire. The focus is on education, engagement, and early intervention — helping community members understand local laws, fire prevention responsibilities, and how to contribute to a safe, sustainable, and welcoming community.
Key Responsibilities:
- Educate and inform the community about local laws, fire prevention, and responsible pet ownership.
- Provide clear and supportive advice to residents to encourage voluntary compliance.
- Work collaboratively with the public, community groups, and partner agencies to promote community safety.
- Assist with the implementation of fire prevention initiatives under the Municipal Fire Management Plan.

To be successful, you will have:
- Qualifications (or willingness to obtain) in compliance, community engagement, or a related field.
- Strong interpersonal and written communication skills.
- An ability to work independently and within a team environment.
- Experience or interest in local government, community safety, or fire prevention.
