About the opportunity:The Credentialing and Administrative Support Specialist plays a critical role in maintaining the integrity, compliance, and efficiency of provider credentialing and administrative functions within the Provider Operations Department. This remote position ensures providers are appropriately credentialed, enrolled, and supported through accurate documentation, platform management, and proactive communication with key stakeholders.
What you will do:- Maintains up-to-date and compliant credentialing files for all providers, including licensure, DEA, insurance, and certification tracking. Monitors expirable and manages the timely renewal and documentation of credentials.
- Prepares and submits provider enrollment and re-credentialing applications for Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial payers. Manages CMS provider revalidations and update provider information across portals including CAQH, PECOS, Availity, and NPPES.
- Coordinates Anesthesia practice credentialing and reappointment processes, including document preparation and submission. Serves as a liaison with medical staff offices to ensure credentialing timelines are met.
- Maintains accurate provider rosters, enrollment spreadsheets, and credentialing trackers. Securely manages provider-related passwords and sensitive documentation.
- Collaborates with billing teams to resolve enrollment and any claim issues. Responds to payer documentation requests to ensure continuous claims processing.
- Provides administrative support to the Anesthesia Management and broader Provider Operations Department and MSO when needed.
- Supports ad hoc operational and project-related tasks as assigned.
- Role models the principles of a Just Culture and Organizational Values.
- Must be HIPAA compliant
- 2 years of credentialing, payer enrollment, or healthcare administrative experience preferred.
- 2 years of administrative experience required
- 2 years of practice enrollment experience preferred
- Credentialing certification (e.g., CPCS) preferred
- Must possess, or be able to obtain within 90 days, the computers skills necessary to complete online learning requirements for job-specific competencies, access online forms and policies, complete online benefits enrollment, etc.
