GWA Group is now seeking a dynamic Group Financial Controller in our North Sydney office.  This role will lead our finance function across financial accounting, risk management, and treasury - while championing our purpose of making life better through everyday water experiences.

About The Role

As Group Financial Controller, you’ll lead a team and take ownership of:

  • Statutory Reporting - ensure timely, accurate, and compliant financial statements across all entities.
  • Management of Sustainability Reporting - support the development of reporting in line with the Accounting Standards, helping GWA deliver clear, credible disclosures as part of its broader corporate reporting.
  • Risk Management - oversee the management of Enterprise Risk for the business.
  • Shared Services Oversight - manage and improve finance operations across shared services.

Key Responsibilities

We are looking for a confident and capable finance leader who can:

  • Lead and mentor a team
  • Deliver high-quality financial reporting and insights to support strategic decision-making
  • Collaborate with senior stakeholders across the business
  • Develop and implement robust financial controls and processes
  • Take initiative in shaping ESG reporting and sustainability disclosures
  • Support the CFO with treasury, insurance, and business partnering activities

About You

  • Minimum 10 years’ experience in senior finance roles
  • Degree qualified in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline
  • CPA or CA qualifications would be preferred (but not essential)
  • Strong technical accounting and reporting skills
  • Proven leadership and stakeholder engagement capabilities
  • A proactive mindset and interest in ESG and sustainability reporting
