The Role
We are looking for a Power Electronics Engineer who enjoys hands-on problem solving, collaboration, and innovation. You will design, test, and improve high-performance power conversion systems that form the core of Tritium’s fast-charging technology.
You will work closely with mechanical, firmware, and test teams across the full product lifecycle, from concept and simulation to prototype, validation, and production.
What You Will Do
- Design and validate high-efficiency power conversion circuits and systems
- Model and simulate converters and components
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on system integration and troubleshooting
- Conduct hands-on testing, validation, and data analysis of prototypes
- Investigate and resolve design, EMC, and reliability issues
- Contribute to continuous improvement in design tools, automation, and processes
- Participate in design reviews and share learnings across the engineering team
What You Bring
- Degree in Electrical, Electronic, or Power Engineering (or equivalent experience)
- Two or more years in power electronics design, testing, or validation
- Strong understanding of converters, inverters, magnetics, and control fundamentals
- Experience with simulation and analysis tools such as SPICE, MATLAB, Simulink, or PLECS
- Familiarity with SiC, GaN, or other emerging power device technologies
- Hands-on testing and troubleshooting experience
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Curiosity, ownership, and a practical mindset
