Job Purpose: Team member - Business Development oversees the entire business development function, identifying emerging markets, driving sales, and implementing marketing strategies. Manages high-level client relationships, strategic planning, and risk assessment. Ensures seamless project handovers, and leads a culture of excellence and innovation.
Opportunity Identification:
Analyze global market trends to identify emerging opportunities in the non-container sector. Evaluate competitors and market saturation to inform strategic positioning and secure new business.
Client Relationship Management:
Help maintain strong client relationships and ensure smooth interactions with business partners and stakeholders.
Sales And Marketing:
Help manage the sales process, from lead generation to contract signing, to achieve business targets.
Project Analysis And Planning:
Evaluate project viability, sustainability, and financial value to support strategic planning.
Commercial Bids Strategy:
Develop strategic plans for submitting commercial bids, balancing revenue maximization with market share expansion.
Risk Management:
Prepare detailed project reports with comprehensive risk assessments covering operational, financial, competition, client, market, and country factors.
Process Compliance:
Assist in ensuring that business development activities comply with operational standards and safety regulations.
Digital Mindset:
Keep up with digital and AI advancements to enhance business and maintain competitiveness.

Head - Business Development - Container Terminal, Lead - Business Development - Container Terminal, Other Departments - HoDs

Educational Qualifications:
(degree, training, or certification required)
MBA/PGDM in Marketing RELEVANT EXPERIENCE: (no. of years of technical, functional, and/or leadership experience or specific exposure required) 05-10 years Exp in port, shipping or Logistics industry
