Position Description:

The Marketing Project Manager (MPM) is responsible for coordinating and driving marketing projects from start to finish, ensuring all deliverables align with the project’s goals, timeline, and budget. Working cross-functionally, the MPM collaborates with team members to executive marketing initiatives for our all Blue Heron product offerings from Communities, to Design-Build, Interior Design and other corporate divisions. This includes ensuring timely execution and alignment with overall brand objectives. 

This role requires excellent project management skills, an ability to collaborate across departments, and a strategic mindset focused on delivering successful marketing campaigns that drive business goals. 

Overall, the Marketing Project Manager is responsible for serving as the main liaison between the divisions and the Marketing team. Ultimately, this position ensures the project meets its goals efficiently, maintaining a balance between quality, scope, time, and cost.

Responsibilities:

Core Function:

  • Stakeholder communication: Serve as the primary point of contact across Sales, internal stakeholders, and external partners; deliver clear, regular status/risks/results to senior leaders and route feedback to the team.
  • Timeline & resource management: Run day-to-day schedules and resourcing in Smartsheet; balance work against company priorities, hold check-ins, and adjust plans to stay on track.
  • Marketing Tools & Collateral: Maintain and organize our inventory and distribute to sales locations proactively 
  • Planning & initiation: Collaborate with Marketing leaders to develop detailed marketing plans for each product offering with timelines, tasks, deliverables, milestones, and resource plans; define objectives and scope.
  • Tools & workflow optimization: Maintain project tools and standardize briefs, approvals, QA, and dashboards in Smartsheet; streamline processes for speed and clarity.
  • Market intelligence: Partner with Sales and product leadership on light research to capture customer trends, competitive signals, and field feedback that informs priorities.
  • Budget management & invoicing: Create/open POs; track commitments vs. plan; reconcile spend monthly; process invoices on time; partner with Accounting on month-end close and reporting.
  • Risk & issue management: Identify risks and bottlenecks early (scope, resources, dependencies); drive mitigation and escalate/communicate changes quickly to protect scope, schedule, and quality.

Other Responsibilities:

  • Merchandising: Own and manage the Blue Heron merchandising store.
  • Unique Projects: Plan and execute important company initiatives (which may vary based on business needs) such as system implementations, training initiatives.
  • Sales: Engage directly with sales to gauge real-time market dynamics, and client behaviors. 

Requirements

Essential Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Collaborative team player with a proactive and solution-oriented approach.
  • Proven experience in marketing.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Creative mindset with the ability to convey complex technical concepts in a simple and engaging manner
  • Proficient in Powerpoint. 
  • Adobe Creative Suite a plus.
