enVista has an immediate opening for a Director on our Design Team within the Strategy Consulting/Automation/Robotics group. This is a senior level position that requires extensive experience in understanding processes, operations, and material handling equipment needed within a client’s four walls of a warehouse, distribution center, or manufacturing facility. The Director is a position that leads the Design Team assigned to a project consisting of associates in Consulting, Data Analysis, and Design Engineering. This individual will organize the team to analyze client data, create process flows (current and future), develop operational standards, design material handling systems based on the data, price designed systems, write proposals / request for proposals, create presentations, and present solutions to clients.

What You Will Do:
- Act as the primary communicator of the project to the client and lead the client to the next engagement as a result of Design Team's work
- Manage and mentor members of the Design team
- Lead the development of process flow charts in Visio or other software
- Lead the team in the development of AutoCAD renderings of a new design layout
- Maintain project schedules and costs along with analysis of client data
- Communicate software capabilities/differences of WMS, WES, WCS
- Design material handling systems solutions in “green”, “brown”, and “existing” facilities
- Supply budget & firm pricing for designed systems while maintaining and updating the budget pricing tool
- Develop financial models that justify the selected equipment (Payback and ROI)
- Vendor support & coordination
- Be the “expert” in client presentations
- Travel to client sites to understand current systems and make recommendations for changes
- Stay up to date with and understand new technologies as they come into the marketplace
What You Will Bring:
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering, Supply Chain Management or related fields strongly preferred
- 10-12 years of experience and knowledge of distribution operations across different distribution channels and industries (i.e. e-commerce, wholesale, retail, drop-ship)
- Minimum 7-10 years of proven experience managing multiple complex DC optimization projects
- Strong written and verbal communication
- Ability to exercise independent judgment and creative problem-solving techniques in a highly complex environment using leading-edge technology
- Proven experience optimizing operations based on best practices and client’s operational profiles (automation, systems, process, people, etc.)
- Strong ability to cultivate relationships with varying level of a client’s team (executive level, engineering, operations, IT, etc.)
- Proven experience in presenting strategies and technical information in a manner that establishes rapport, persuades others, and establishes understanding for technical and non-technical audiences
- Strong analytic abilities required to turn mass data into project insights, with the ability to justify recommended solutions including financial analysis (ROI, ARR, etc.)
- Skills in AutoCAD and/or SQL are a bonus
- Skilled in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project)
- 20%-30% travel required
