The Contract Administrator performs advanced, specialized work involving the full lifecycle management of complex contracts essential to WMATA's operations and strategic initiatives. This role is responsible for preparing, negotiating, and administering a broad range of contracts, including materials, equipment, supplies, professional and technical services, construction, and architecture/engineering (A/E) agreements.
Key responsibilities include leading the development and award of contracts, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations and policies, monitoring contractor performance, resolving contractual issues, and managing modifications and closeouts to ensure accountability and fiscal integrity. The Contract Administrator serves as a strategic partner to internal stakeholders, providing guidance on procurement strategies, risk mitigation, and contract best practices that support operational excellence and organizational goals.
RequirementsEducation/ Experience
Bachelor's Degree in Business, Construction or a related field.
One (1) year of working experience in the purchasing/contracting area, treasury, accounting or other related business or construction field.
