The Supply Chain team in Fisher Jeon now need to recruit one Senior Supplier Quality Engineer to be responsible for Supplier Management and Improvement, Commodity Projects Support, Proactive looking for improvement opportunities not only limited to the suppliers assigned, but also to other suppliers in the Commodity Team.
In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
1.Supplier Management and Improvement, Key / Monitor supplier management:
- Conduct ASE (Annual Supplier Expectation)
- Monthly performance report / Score Card
- Conduct SBR and QBR based on annual plan
- Periodical suppliers visit and process audit
- Overall supplier performance (Lead Time, RDSL, PPM) management and analysis

- Lead Supplier Continuous Improvement projects
- Conduct supplier’s trainings if necessary to improve supplier’s performance
- Proactively provide comparisons and comments on supplier’s quality controls, manufacturing capability and capacity
2.Commodity Projects Support:
- including but not limited on NPD, Regionalization, Localization, Supplier Shifts for Risk Mitigation, Cost Savings or Tooling Replacement
- New and potential suppliers’ audits to understand and assess their quality system to determine if it meets Emerson requirements. Develop and follow up corrective actions or development plans to supplier until meets our objectives
- Lead the Internal Pre-Technical and Technical Review with suppliers, to confirm the drawings, specifications, method of measurement and PPAP requirements
- Conduct FA & Pilot Run, follow with suppliers in cooperation with Commodity Teams and Quality Teams
- Monitor and improve the performance of awarded suppliers
3.Daily Work
- Resolve NCR as soon as possible, at least but not limited on communicate with suppliers, coordinate rework, root cause analysis and corrective action plan, improvement and follow up
- Create SCAR to supplier for following up corrective actions’ completion & tracking effectiveness
- Follow up ECN with suppliers in time
4.Otners
- Supports on 3rd party audit and certification
- Supplier on site witness if necessary
- Train and coach other colleagues if necessary
- Proactive looking for improvement opportunities not only limited to the suppliers assigned, but also to other suppliers in the Commodity Team
- Perform related work as apparent or assigned by team leader
Who You Are:

For This Role, You Will Need:
- Familiar with the manufacture processes and technologies of the commodities, such as Casting, Forging, Machining, Stamping, Springs, Fastener, Molded Rubber, Molded Plastics, Fabrication, Surface Treatment
- Good command of mechanical prints reading: understand mechanical symbol meaning, know inspection methods of the dimensions, and identify the key dimensions of the parts
- Good command of English (written/oral): can organize and lead the meetings and freely discuss the issues and disagreements with suppliers and colleagues from other countries, can present the projects in English
- Good command of PC: be good at Excel, PowerPoint etc.
- Good communication and project management skill: can conduct Supplier Continuous Improvement projects independently
- Familiar with ISO9001/14000/OHSA18000 quality system
- Familiar with QC 7 tools, FMEA, Control Plan, SPC etc.
- Assertive, aggressive, confident, and compressive
- Willing to travel frequently
Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Mechanical/Metallurgic/Material /Manufacturing is preferred
- At least 8 years quality experience, in supplier management and development is preferred
