IT Security Specialist (f/m/d)

We are seeking an IT & Security Specialist to join our IT team in Berlin. Are you eager to learn and contribute to our mission for a more sustainable future? 
GO2 Markets connects buyers and sellers worldwide to facilitate the trading of environmental products and provides advisory services to help organizations develop and implement sustainability strategies. 
As our IT & Security Specialist, you’ll own and shape GO2 Markets’ entire IT and cybersecurity ecosystem—building a secure, reliable, and scalable infrastructure together with our Software Engineering team.
This is a full-time, Berlin-based position, available for an immediate start. 

Your Mission

• Lead all IT and cybersecurity operations, from infrastructure to employee enablement. 
• Identify vulnerabilities, prioritize risks, and execute clear, actionable security improvements — delivering key solutions within your first year. 
• Map and manage GO2’s entire digital ecosystem, including applications, integrations, and departmental tools. 
• Standardize, document, and maintain core operational procedures (onboarding, offboarding, license management, and new software adoption). 
• Provide hands-on IT support, troubleshooting, and employee assistance across the organization. 
• Conduct engaging workshops to strengthen company-wide cybersecurity awareness. 
• Optimize and secure remote access, VPN usage, and connectivity to internal resources. 
• Research, recommend, and implement cybersecurity best practices tailored to GO2’s scale and sustainability mission. 

What You Will Bring

• 4+ years of experience as an IT Specialist or equivalent, ideally in a company of 50+ employees. 
• Strong, hands-on expertise in IT infrastructure and security operations. 
• Proficient in Microsoft 365 and Apple device management; MDM solutions experience preferred. 
• Proven ability to design, implement, and enforce IT & Security policies (access control, passwords, incident response). 
• Experience with SSO integrations, OAuth 2.0 flows, and secure authentication systems. 
• Skilled in creating detailed infrastructure documentation and standard operating procedures (SOPs). 
• Collaborative mindset — able to partner effectively with Product, Development, and Legal teams on secure integrations. 
• Experience managing security incidents, system audits, and vulnerability remediation. 
• Knowledge of disaster recovery, backup policies, and cybersecurity frameworks. 
• A proactive, people-oriented approach — ready to protect our systems and empower our teams as we advance our green mission
