At Fictiv, we’re redefining what’s possible in manufacturing through speed, quality, and innovation. As a Supplier Quality Engineer (SQE) dedicated to the Pacific Northwest supply base, you’ll strengthen and elevate the performance of local manufacturing partners to ensure world-class results for our customers.
This role provides full remote flexibility, but it is not a desk-only job. You will be routinely visiting local suppliers, building relationships, assessing capabilities, and driving improvements directly on the shop floor. That’s why living in the Seattle, Portland, or Spokane metro area is essential — you’ll be embedded in the region you support.
Please note: Only U.S. citizens or valid Green Card holders can be considered for this position.
What You’Ll Do
- Drive Quality Excellence – Conduct on-site supplier visits across the Pacific Northwest to assess capability, strengthen quality systems, and ensure consistent, high-quality, on-time delivery of mechanical parts.
- Develop Partners, Not Just Suppliers – Coach manufacturing partners to build quality into the process from the start — not rely on inspection at the end.
- Lead Effective Problem Solving – Facilitate root cause analysis and corrective actions that prevent recurrence and drive measurable long-term results.
- Elevate the Supply Base – Utilize Fictiv’s supplier maturity models, scorecards, and best practices to increase supplier performance across the network.
- Champion the Customer – Serve as the voice of the customer at supplier sites, ensuring expectations are understood, met, and exceeded.
What You Bring
- 5+ years of supplier-facing quality experience, preferably in mechanical parts/components
- Strong mechanical manufacturing process knowledge
- Proven track record of improving supplier performance with a balance of relationship-building and accountability
- Experience with quality management standards such as ISO 9001, AS9100, or similar
- Strong capability in root cause analysis, corrective action planning, and data-driven decision-making
- Comfortable working independently in the field and collaborating with remote cross-functional teams
Why You’ll Love Working Here
- Remote Flexibility, Local Impact – Enjoy the autonomy of remote work while making a visible difference on the ground in your region.
- Mission-Driven Work – Help modernize and elevate U.S. manufacturing quality standards.
- Autonomy + Collaboration – Operate independently with strong support from a global quality and sourcing team.
- Competitive Pay & Growth – Salary range: $95,000 – $125,000, based on experience.
