- Pay Range: $115,000 - $145,000

Superior is looking for a BIM/VDC Operations Manager to help advance our Building Information Modeling (BIM) practice and strengthen our BIM workforce. The BIM Operations Manager is responsible for developing and implementing BIM standards, optimizing workflow processes, supporting workforce development, and driving innovation and technology across our BIM program. This role is based at our headquarters in Columbus, Ohio.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and enforce BIM/VDC standards, execution plans, and workflows tailored to electrical construction
- Ensure consistent model structure, data integrity, and documentation across all projects.
- Administer and optimize Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) tools to ensure seamless collaboration between office, field, and prefabrication teams
- Establish best practices for model coordination, issue tracking, and field integration using ACC
- Lead the creation and refinement of BIM templates, content libraries, and QA/QC protocols
- Facilitate coordination between electrical systems and other trades using federated models and clash detection
- Support prefabrication and modular construction through model-driven planning and fabrication workflows
- Mentor and develop BIM Managers, Modelers, and other VDC team members to strengthen internal expertise
- Evaluate and implement emerging technologies, AI programs, and automation tools to enhance project delivery
- Stay current with industry trends and promote a culture of continuous learning and digital innovation across the VDC department

Your Expertise
- Required: You have at least 10 years of experience in 3D BIM/VDC modeling using Revit
- Required: You have at least 5 years of experience with Autodesk Navisworks and other BIM coordination software
- Required: You have at least 5 years of experience in MEP construction
- Required: You have at least 5 years of experience in clash detection, clash resolution, and BIM coordination processes
- Required: You have at least 3 years of experience in a similar leadership or management position
- Required: You have expert-level proficiency in Autodesk Revit, Navisworks, and Autodesk Construction Cloud
- Bonus Points: You have a strong understanding of electrical systems, construction sequencing, and field installation practices
- Bonus Points: You have proven experience developing and implementing BIM standards and training programs
- Bonus Points: You’re experienced with Dynamo, scripting, or automation tools
- Bonus Points: You’re familiar with prefabrication workflows and model-based fabrication
- Bonus Points: You hold active certifications such as CM-BIM, Autodesk Certified Professional, or similar credentials
