What You Will Do:
The Senior Quality Engineer will support work instruction development and maintenance activities by reviewing work instructions, test instructions, auditing processes, and assuring configuration management. The Senior Quality Engineer will lead supplier performance management by analyzing performance data, identifying opportunities for improvement and driving actions on supplier development.
- Development and maintenance of inspection instructions, ensuring inspection instructions meet the technical data package requirements and meet production needs; development and maintenance of inspection equipment and methods
- Proactive reduction and prevention of supplied material defect occurrences and verification of supplied material defect claims
- Leading cross-functional teams in pursuit of performance improvements aligned to department and organizational goals
- Preventing/Minimizing business impact from supplied material defects; supplier quality risk mitigation
- Lead on-site supplier engagements, including performance reviews, process walks and Quality System audits
- Develop solutions to problems of unusual complexity which require a high degree of ingenuity, creativity, and innovation
- Provide project management guidance and support to projects and processes
- Exercise independent judgment methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results
- Provide leadership within supplied material performance organizational strategies and development / enhancement of Supplier Quality standard work
- Facilitate and lead cross-functional team in failure analysis, Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA) investigations, including identifying non-conformances, providing solutions, tracking issues to closure and leading Corrective Action Boards (CAB)
- Influence supplier selection; submit, review, coach, and accept supplier corrective action requests
Qualifications You Must Have:
- Bachelor's Degree in in a STEM field and 5 or more years' experience in an engineering, manufacturing operations, materials management, program/project management, supply chain/logistics or closely related industrial environment OR a Masters' Degree and minimum 3 or more years' experience in an engineering, manufacturing operations, materials management, program/project management, supply chain/logistics or closely related industrial environment
- Experience with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
- Understanding of conventional Quality related inspection and other machine shop inspection process and procedures.
- Understanding of continuous improvement tools such as Six Sigma and LEAN

Qualifications We Prefer:
- Prior experience in a team lead/supervisory capacity
- Experience in Quality Management Systems and user of MRP/ERP/SAP systems used in production control, planning, manufacturing execution, and MRB.
- Experience in obtaining, organizing and analyzing quality data.
- Knowledge of aerospace quality standards including AS9100, & ISO.
- Six Sigma or ASQ Certification.

The salary range for this role is 82,000 USD - 164,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
