Who Are We?
Aurukun Training for Empowerment and Work Skills (Aurukun TEWS) is a new provider of the Remote Australia Employment Service (RAES) in the Aurukun Region, dedicated to connecting RAES job seekers with sustainable employment opportunities. Our people are at the heart of everything we do!
What will you be doing?
This role will see you support the delivery of high-impact initiatives by establishing strong relationships with community stakeholders to promote sustainable outcomes. You will also:
- Proactively coordinate RAES Community Projects, ensuring that all processes and Workforce Development initiative guidelines comply with operational and compliance requirements.
- Work with the employment team to promote and gain referrals to Community Project employment and training.
- Ensure all Job seekers referred to Community Projects or Hosting arrangements have an updated job plan and induction.
- Engage with the community and support community initiatives, and ensure the community is heard.
- Support in the development of community project plans and operational strategies.
Who Are You?
Skills and experience we will look for include:
- Sound understanding of employment service programs
- Qualifications in community services or project management are desirable (but not essential)
- Sound coordination, problem-solving, time management and ability to develop practical solutions.
- Proficient in using the Microsoft Office Suite of applications
- Good written and verbal communication to liaise with participants, employers/hosts.
- Hold a Current driver's licence.
Completion of a valid Police Check and Working with Children Check is a mandatory requirement prior to commencement of employment. Successful candidates must set up a myGovID to access Government data aligned with their role.
