Job Description
About Your Role:
You will be responsible for production daily operational results. Drive execution of process improvement plans, help set operations improvement goals, ensure priorities and accountabilities are clear, provide resources. You will be based in Bangi and will report to the Production Manager.
Your Responsibilities Will Include:
- Oversee manufacturing related activities to achieve operations efficiency and production output.
- Implementation of operational improvement strategies for Safety, Quality, Productivity, Cost savings and Training.
- Drive improvement initiatives in key metrics such as UEE, Scrap, manufacturing flow, staffing schedule and resource utilization to ensure within budget and plan.
- Lead the team for compliance to Environmental, Healthy & Safety policies and to promote teamwork and collaboration within the team and across all stakeholders.
- Drive engagement and motivation for the team to ensure the shop floor has high morale and commitment for the daily tasks.
- Responsible for production daily operational results. Drive execution of site improvement plans, set operations improvement goals, ensure priorities and accountabilities are clear, plan resources.
- Drive the improvement initiatives in key metric areas; manage production flow, staffing schedule and resources to budget and plan.
- Drive execution of autonomous maintenance improvement plans.
- Collaborate with other functional departments to resolve problems.
- Promote teamwork within the production team as well as other functions at the shop floor level.
- Train and provide development opportunities for staff. Ensure annual goals are completed and communicated. Ensure Global Performance Management System is up to date and regular feedback is provided to staff members.
- Ensuring participation of the Coating team in ELS training and ELS implementation.
- Execute/support A3 for scrap and quality and ensure A3’s implementation.
- Manage and control the usage of production consumables within department.
- Ensure and maintain good 5S at shop floor. Lead the efforts to create a safety conscious environment.
- Strengthen the team capability and discipline.
- Coach, train and provide development opportunities for direct reports to achieve targets.
- Monitor and evaluate team members’ performance and adjust training as needed.
- Act as a team role model and change-agent.
Qualifications

- Relevant experience in production operation
- Strong math and analytical skills.
- Strong organization and attention to detail.
- Sound people-leading & team building skills; experience in effectively working with cross functional teams.
