The mission of Application Frameworks at Bloomberg is to deliver a seamless, industry-aligned, and fully supported application platform that enables a delightful Terminal experience. Every day, thousands of Bloomberg engineers create new customer-facing functionality for the Terminal. The Terminal Deployment Infrastructure team provides the mission critical infrastructure necessary to deliver that software to Bloomberg data centers and client PCs around the world, keeping that client-specific software updated continuously. Engineers at Bloomberg and our clients depend on us to make this as performant, scalable and secure as possible, with reliability being our utmost priority.
In addition to the infrastructure, our team owns the engineer-facing applications that provide the ability to deploy their applications to production at their preferred cadence, for any audience. These systems keep track of all software dependencies, making it available to our runtime infrastructure to dynamically resolve unique software combinations for every client in real time.
