Senior Cloud Automation Engineer
Team: Cloud Automation
Reports To: Cloud Automation Lead
Role Summary
We are hiring a hands-on software engineer to build internal platform features (C#/.NET + React), integrate AI/LLM capabilities, and develop automation using AWS and Terraform. Azure is used primarily for hosting our core platform; automation and IaC are primarily in AWS.
Key Responsibilities
- Platform Engineering (Primary — .NET Core + React)
- Extend and maintain our internal platform built in C#/.NET and React (hosted in Azure)
- Build APIs, backend workflows and UI features used by Cloud Engineering
- Integrate the platform with internal/external APIs and data sources
- AI & LLM Integration (Secondary)
- Add AI-assisted features using Azure OpenAI or AWS Bedrock
- Implement anomaly detection, auto-remediation triggers, summarisation, etc.
- AWS Automation & IaC (Primary for Infra)
- Develop and maintain Terraform modules for AWS
- Build serverless automation (Lambda, EventBridge, SQS/SNS, Step Functions)
- Integrate automation with platform workflows and existing tooling
- Azure (Secondary — platform runtime)
- Interact with Azure services powering the .NET platform (KeyVault, AppService, AAD, Azure Data Factory, etc.)
- Occasionally support Azure-side automation or integrations when required
Required Experience
- 5+ years building production systems in C#/.NET and/or React
- Proven automation experience in AWS (Lambda, IAM, S3, SNS/SQS, CloudWatch)
- Strong experience with Terraform for AWS and Azure infrastructure
- Experience building or consuming APIs and integrating external systems
- Exposure to Azure services (even if limited to supporting a platform hosted there)
- Interest in (or prior experience with) LLM/AI integrations
Nice To Have
- AI/LLM API integration experience (Azure OpenAI, Bedrock, etc.)
- Experience building self-service / internal tools for engineering teams
- Observability/ITSM integrations (Datadog, PagerDuty, ServiceNow, etc.)
- Multi-cloud experience
