Are you a strategic thinker with a passion for delivering commercial outcomes and leading high-performing teams? We are seeking a Maintenance Contracts Manager to lead the delivery of our maintenance contracts, ensuring operational excellence, financial performance, and team success.
About Your Role:
- Be the primary contact for the customer’s nominated representative, cultivating a collaborative relationship aligned with UGL Principles.
 - Lead the review and setup of contract scope, budget, schedule, and quality requirements, establishing project baselines within agreed timeframes.
 - Mobilise and assign responsibilities across internal teams to deliver contract outcomes.
 - Generate and maintain project planning and management documentation in line with our Project Management Framework and best practice.
 - Build strong internal and external relationships to ensure open communication and timely resolution of issues.
 - Support bid and tender efforts, ensuring operational capabilities and risks are clearly represented.
 - Monitor and control project KPIs, financial baselines, and performance metrics, implementing adjustments as needed.
 - Identify opportunities for revenue growth and cost savings, applying UGL governance processes.
 - Maintain regular client communication and reporting, fostering transparency and trust.
 
About You:
To thrive in this role, you will have:
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in project management within production, manufacturing, maintenance or engineering.
 - Proven ability to manage budgets, cost control, and forecasting.
 - Experience with contracts, procurement, and vendor management.
 - Strong negotiation skills and understanding of commercial frameworks.
 - Ability to lead teams, delegate tasks, and align work with financial goals.
 - Familiarity with rail industry standards and safety-critical environments (e.g. Defence, automotive, avionics).
 - Proficient in SAP or similar asset management systems, MS Word, Excel, and email.
 - Strong leadership and motivational skills to foster collaboration and team success.
 - Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making abilities that influence positive outcomes.
 - Advanced interpersonal and communication skills across internal and external stakeholders.
 
Qualifications & Education:
- Technical trade or tertiary qualification in Engineering.
 - Certified Practicing Project Manager (CPPM) or equivalent experience.
 - Project Management qualification (preferably AIPM Certificate IV or above).
 - Certification in continuous improvement methodologies (Lean, 3P, Six Sigma)
