Quality Manager – Scotland (Edinburgh / Glasgow) – Remote

Join OCU Group – Building a Safer, Smarter Future

At OCU Group, we’re leading the way in end-to-end infrastructure engineering across utilities, digital, and energy markets. We deliver complex, high-value projects safely, efficiently, and sustainably — helping power the UK’s energy transition.

We’re now seeking an experienced and proactive Quality Manager to join our team in Scotland (central belt focus). This is a remote-based role with regular site visits and occasional overnight travel. If you’re meticulous, confident under pressure, and thrive on ensuring quality and compliance at every level, we’d love to hear from you.

The Opportunity

As a Quality Manager, you’ll be at the forefront of maintaining and enhancing OCU’s high standards of delivery. You’ll ensure that every project, process, and supplier meets our rigorous quality, compliance, and safety expectations — while driving a culture of continuous improvement across the organisation.

You’ll collaborate closely with procurement, engineering, and project teams to guarantee quality assurance across large-scale, multi-million-pound energy infrastructure projects

What You’Ll Do

  • Lead, implement, and maintain robust quality assurance processes across several multi million pound energy projects
  • Conduct factory and site audits, ensuring compliance with company and client quality requirements.
  • Review and verify documentation, credentials, pricing, and quality control records.
  • Ensure all quality assurance activities meet regulatory and customer standards.
  • Identify and lead continuous improvement initiatives across the organisation.
  • Train and mentor team members to strengthen quality awareness and best practices.
  • Manage supplier evaluations and work closely with procurement to ensure supplier quality on high-value equipment.
  • Prepare and present quality performance reports, audit results, and improvement plans to senior management.

What You’Ll Bring

  • Proven experience in a quality assurance or quality control role within oil & gas, utilities, construction, or manufacturing.
  • Strong background managing QMS, ISO 9001, and other compliance frameworks.
  • Exposure to large-scale projects (£10m+) and high-value equipment
  • Skilled in factory audits, documentation review, and regulatory compliance.
  • Inquisitive, strong-willed, and meticulous — with exceptional attention to detail and professionalism.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Relevant qualifications (e.g., CQI, Six Sigma, ISO Lead Auditor) are advantageous.

What We Offer

  • Competitive salary with company car or car allowance.
  • Remote working flexibility with site engagement and occasional travel.
  • The opportunity to work on major national infrastructure projects.
  • Supportive team culture that values integrity, growth, and collaboration.
  • Commitment to training and development
