SpecterOps is seeking a highly skilled Senior IT Support Specialist to join our internal corporate IT team. This role is responsible for administering and maintaining our enterprise systems, with a focus on Microsoft Entra ID (formerly Azure AD), Microsoft 365, SAML/Single-Sign On (SSO) solutions, and SaaS tools. In addition to bringing a strong background in Microsoft cloud technologies, the ideal candidate will have proficient experience with developing and implementing IT Service Management strategies, and a proven ability to manage and optimize cloud-based infrastructure in a secure, efficient, and scalable manner.
This is a mid-level, individual contributor role best suited for an experienced IT professional who can work independently while collaborating cross-functionally with Security, IT Compliance, Engineering, and other business operations teams to achieve company-wide goals.
Salary: base salary annually, commensurate with experience.
$115,000 $145,000
Location: This position is remote, based in the U.S. with optional travel quarterly for in person company events and other ad hoc meetings

Responsibilities
- Administer Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD) and Microsoft Intune, including user and group management, conditional access policies, identity governance, and device management.
- Manage, monitor, and support Microsoft 365 services, including Exchange Online, SharePoint, OneDrive, and compliance features.
- Collaborate on the design, implementation, and execution of ITSM processes (incident, change, problem, and asset management) leveraging ITIL framework strategies.
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, patch, and resolve technical issues across user accounts, endpoints, cloud services, and SaaS systems.
- Implement automation and end-user self-service initiatives for IT Support-related requests, changes, and incidents to improve operational efficiency.
- Participate in incident response and disaster recovery plan for test exercises and execution, including the troubleshooting of incidents, solving for root cause, and documenting the analysis and resolution.
- Create and maintain process documentation, knowledge base articles, and standard operating procedures.
- Serve as an escalation point for incidents affecting infrastructure, identity, networking, and applications.
- Manage IT responsibilities as part of employee onboarding and offboarding processes, including provisioning of users and devices via Entra ID and Intune.
- Collaborate with Security and IT Compliance teams to ensure systems adhere to organizational standards and regulatory frameworks (e.g., SOC 2, ISO 27001).
- Provide Tier 1-2 support for incidents and service requests.

Requirements
- 4–6 years of hands-on experience in a corporate IT Support, IT Operations, or System Administration role.
- Deep understanding of Microsoft Entra ID, Active Directory Federation Services (ADFS), and hybrid identity configurations.
- Advanced experience with Microsoft 365 administration (Exchange Online, Intune, Conditional Access, DLP, etc.).
- Experience implementing or supporting SSO, MFA, Conditional Access, and identity governance controls.
- Understanding of networking fundamentals (DNS, DHCP, VPN, firewalls, etc.) as applied to cloud and hybrid environments.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills and a structured approach to problem-solving.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills and the ability to collaborate across teams.

- Successfully complete a criminal background investigation
- Travel: up to 25%
Nice To Haves
- Experience working in hybrid cloud or multi-cloud environments.
- Exposure to or certification in the Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) framework and working in ticket-driven environments (e.g., Jira, ServiceNow, Zendesk)
- Knowledge of compliance standards such as ISO 27001, SOC 2, or GDPR as they relate to IT, Infrastructure, and Security teams.
- Familiarity with PowerShell scripting for automation and administration tasks in the Microsoft ecosystem.
- Certifications such as:
Microsoft Certified: Entra Identity and Access Administrator Associate
Microsoft 365 Certified: Enterprise Administrator Expert
