What You’Ll Do:

We are looking for a dynamic Production Manager to join our Premier League Productions (PLP) team.

In this role, you will be responsible for the management of the Access team, budgets, personnel and logistics for PLP, working collaboratively with the editorial team, production staff and cross-departments (e.g., IMG Studios, Finance, Human Resources, Risk Management, etc.) to ensure appropriate planning and decision-making regarding budgetary and operational execution.

Please Note:

  • This is a fixed-term contract until 29th May 2026 based at our facility in Stockley Park, Uxbridge.
  • Following this date, the role has potential to be extended and if so, would move across to Premier League Studios, based in Kensington Olympia. Please note, this is not guaranteed.
  • Working hours will include regular weekend, some evening work, and unsocial hours as required.
  • You will be required to work some days over the Christmas period.

  • Managing day-to-day production logistics for the Access Team, ensuring they are produced efficiently, on budget and adhere to compliance and H&S guidelines.
  • Client liaison for ad hoc productions and ensure projects are delivered on time and to budget.
  • Manage programme budgets, cost reports, forecasts, and prepare a quarterly finance report for the Production Executive & Production Accountant to feed into top-line Department Finance reports to be shared with the Premier League.
  • In conjunction with the Production Executive and Senior Producers, work on the schedule, plan for PLP departments, and feed into a weekly Resource Meeting to ensure staffing and resources are met and logged on Media Pulse.
  • Develop an effective relationship with internal facility providers and other external suppliers, ensuring regular communication, and be able to troubleshoot issues and potential delays.
  • Responsible for the dissemination of production reports; including knowing what the information means, gaps that require discussion and trends that appear.
  • Attend meetings with Executive Producer, Production Executive, Producers and Directors, to ensure that the schedule is moving forward and/or specific issues are addressed and/or escalated.
  • Run production meetings with PCs and PAs to ensure clear communication and dissemination of information, acknowledge accomplishments, and discuss challenges.
  • Advise the Production Executive/Head of Production of any potential problems or issues, particularly those impacting schedule and budget, and come prepared with proposed solutions.
  • Provide mentorship and opportunities for growth for production staff, including delegating targeted tasks and empowering production staff to take on additional responsibilities if required.
  • Active management of a team of Access Planners, Production Co-ordinators and Assistants.
  • Be transparent regarding pertinent issues and concerns with staff and freelancers, and show leadership.
  • When relevant and appropriate, convey departmental initiatives to staff and freelance crew.
  • Work to establish new processes, procedures, and methods that improve production systems, outcomes, and overall workflow.
  • Support producers’ day-to-day or shoot-specific operational demands as directed ensuring Risk Assessments are properly created and adhered to.
  • You may also be required to carry out any other duties within the job's scope and purpose.
  • In conjunction with the Production Executive and Executive Producer, ensure all Health and Safety procedures are adhered to and appropriate plans and paperwork are in place.
  • Ensure all freelancers are contracted correctly as per HMRC guidelines. 
  • Liaise with Legal to ensure all ad hoc licence agreements and music clearances are in place as required. 

You Will Have The Following Strengths:

  • Experience in production management, operations or sports environment, with emphasis on logistics and scheduling
  • Experience managing a large production team
  • Demonstrable experience as a Production Manager, working on magazine or sports/entertainment programming.
  • Experience in creating and managing large production budgets, including cost tracking and reporting.
  • Extensive knowledge of post-production paperwork, archive clearance, music clearance, filming permits, contracts, insurance, risk assessments and Health and Safety.
  • Strong technical skills related to television production.
  • Strong financial, math, and analysis skills to manage a multi-million-dollar budget.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Strong written and oral interpersonal skills, judgment and ability to work with all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to prioritize under time constraints and work successfully in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work with diverse production teams, crews and independent contractors.
  • Ability to use own initiative and ability to work well as part of a team and on own without close supervision.
  • Experience of working across multiple productions, effectively managing and prioritizing workload.
  • Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SAP, and Media Pulse.
