Join Our Team As A Manufacturing Technician – Finishing At Johnson Electric!
- Location: Ancaster, Ontario (onsite)
- Schedule: Rotating shifts and overtime as required
As our next Manufacturing Technician – Finishing, you’ll be responsible for optimizing finishing operations to improve throughput, reduce downtime, and ensure high-quality production. You’ll work with advanced CNC and robotic systems, troubleshoot equipment, and support continuous improvement initiatives.

What You’Ll Be Doing:
- Optimize finishing processes to improve throughput
- Document changes to set points, programs, and parameters
- Execute PM and TPM activities to reduce downtime
- Troubleshoot and maintain CNC lathes, machining centers, grinders, and special-purpose machinery
- Support robotics systems including Motoman, Kuka, and Fanuc
- Provide technical support and assist in training team members
- Ensure safety features are implemented on all machines
- Maintain equipment documentation and records per ISO/TS 16949 standards
- Collaborate with team leaders using 5W techniques for troubleshooting
- Participate in continuous improvement and quality initiatives
- Adhere to Johnson Electric’s policies, safety, and environmental standards
What We’Re Looking For:
- Diploma in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering Technology
- Certificate in CNC Programming or equivalent experience preferred
- 5–7 years of experience in high-speed automotive manufacturing preferred
- Familiarity with ISO/TS 16949 quality systems
- Experience with Fanuc, OKUMA, Siemens CNC systems and robotics
- Strong blueprint reading and GD&T interpretation skills
- Proficiency in using measuring equipment and interpreting CMM reports
- High energy, flexibility, and physical endurance
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- High integrity and results-driven mindset
Working Conditions:
- Manufacturing environment with limited climate control
- Standing and walking for long periods
- Exposure to machinery and technical equipment
