Role Scope
Area(S) Of Responsibility
Key Activities
Support & Management
- Responsible for managing the development of new shows and projects across the different properties.
- Works with Entertainment teams and interdepartmental partners as an active participant, guaranteeing a high level of performance and production values for entertainment offerings.
- Provides management and operational coverage at entertainment events and at shows/venues as requested.
- Leads and executes entertainment special events to include marquee and seasonal celebrations, corporate functions, and other events promoted by the company.
- Supports production and events rehearsals as needed.
- People Leadership & Development
- Provides leadership and direction to Assistant Managers and Team Leaders, ensuring clear communication of goals, timelines, and responsibilities.
- Supports the development of team members by offering training opportunities, coaching, and performance feedback.
- Ensures roster planning, manpower allocation, and leave management are conducted in line with operational needs and team wellbeing.
- Participates in hiring, onboarding, and performance review processes in coordination with HR and the Senior Manager.
- Working with Contractors and other departments
- Oversees installation, execution and de-rig of shows/events, to include hands on work as required.
- Attend site visits for set and prop builds.
- Working with in park HODs leading up to events and hosting event meetings.
- Liaise with vendors and suppliers, ensuring timely delivery of services and products. Conduct site visits with vendors to ensure compliance with event requirements.
- Oversees vendor onboarding in collaboration with procurement and ensures that vendor scope aligns with event deliverables.
- Conducts post-event evaluations with vendors and internal teams to assess performance and identify areas for improvement.
Asset/Document Management
- Develops show and event production management systems and distributes reports.
- Maintains a shared portfolio of vendors and suppliers in conjunction with the parks and Entertainment Projects Manager
- Works with the teams to create and update entertainment asset inventories.
- Manages and maintains entertainment owned event assets in each required facility ensuring tidiness of areas such as warehouse, green rooms and other back of house Entertainment earmarked spaces.
- Ensures Entertainment storage areas are maintained, kept clean and organized and assets are properly labeled and accounted for in inventory levels.
- Creates installation and de-rig and event run schedules as requested and maintains schedules, updating them and stakeholders when changes take place.
- Design and develop event decks, including timelines, floor plans, run sheets and other essential documents.
- Write detailed Scope of Works (SOW) for vendors and suppliers, outlining specific responsibilities, deliverables and timelines.
- Offer input into event improvements: effectiveness and efficiencies.
Financial Responsibilities
- Oversees event-related procurement, ensuring compliance with financial policies and Delegation of Authority. Reviews vendor quotes, manages cost tracking, and supports budget forecasting in coordination with the Senior Manager
Risk Management
- Identify and merge potential risk associated with event production, including health and safety concerns, financial risks and operational changes. Develop and implement strategies to address these risks effectively.
- Conduct thorough risk assessments by reviewing and verifying the RAMS submitted by vendors to ensure compliance with Miral standards and regulations. This includes evaluating the effectiveness of identified controls and mitigation to facilitate the Permit to Work (PTW) approval process.
Qualifications, Experience and Skills
Education And Qualifications
Essential:
- Higher Secondary or equivalent
Desirable:
- Bachelor’s Degree in the arts, events or related fields
- Bachelor’s Degree in any technical Theatre discipline
Years Of Experience
Essential:
- Minimum of 5 years in theme park entertainment, events or large-scale productions
Desirable:
- 3 years of experience in the entertainment and theme park industry
- 2 years recent experience working client-side in the events industry
Knowledge, Languages and Skills
Essential:
- Working knowledge of industry safety standards and codes; industry trends and vendors
- Ability to read CAD plans and related construction/design documents.
- Leadership skills; computer skills; proficiency in English
- Ability to call events and shows; report creating and distribution; schedules creation and execution; development of show/events manuals.
Desirable:
- Stage management experience; lighting, sound and projection programming; winch operation; rigging; video editing; music knowledge; project management
