Summary
We are looking for several Automation Software Developers / Analysis Engineers to join our team. The main responsibility is to enhance automation for rig monitoring and updates of rig software and hardware. Between usage cycles, each rig must be automatically health-tested and restored if necessary.
Key tasks include developing automated health tests using Vector CAPL and/or Python, and triggering CI runs on boxcars according to testing organization needs. This requires experience with CI tools such as Cynosure, Zuul, and Jenkins.
In addition, the role involves maintaining multiple VIL rigs (Vector test systems connected to complete cars on dynos). The ideal candidate is a hands-on, structured, and collaborative engineer with experience in complete vehicle fault tracing, software updates, and Vector tools.
Required Competence:
- Proficiency in Python
- Experience in embedded automation development
- Background in automotive systems
- Experience with GitHub or Gerrit
- Strong knowledge of Vector tools (CANoe, CAPL, CANalyzer)
- Understanding of CAN/LIN/Ethernet protocols
- Experience with CI tools (e.g., Cynosure, Zuul, Jenkins)
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering or related field
Additional Competence (Meritorious):
- Experience in automation and management of large-scale IT environments
- Maintenance and fault tracing expertise in complete vehicles
- Experience with SWDL, Diagnostics, and Gateway testing
- Skills in log analysis using CANoe, Wireshark, DLT, etc.
- Basic electrical fault tracing on complete vehicles
- Knowledge of automation and integration tools such as OSB, Cynosure, and Confighub
- Familiarity with continuous integration, baseline and binary management, and test automation
