Job Title: Art Director – EY GDS Studio (Recording, Streaming & Live Broadcast) / Assistant director
About EY GDS Studio
- EY GDS Studio is an integrated creative and broadcast space designed to function like a corporate newsroom — agile, insight-led, and visually dynamic.
- Equipped for recording, streaming, and live broadcasting, the studio delivers leadership messages, brand storytelling, and thought leadership content to audiences across EY’s global network.
- This is where communication meets production — combining the polish of a newsroom with the creativity of an agency.
The Opportunity
We’re looking for an Art Director who can lead the creative vision for EY GDS Studio — bringing together design, storytelling, and broadcast aesthetics across recorded, live, and hybrid formats.
You’ll set the creative tone for everything from leadership townhalls and live streams to news-style segments and campaign videos, ensuring every frame reflects EY’s brand voice, visual excellence, and purpose.
Your Key Responsibilities
Creative & Visual Leadership
- Own the creative direction and art supervision across all studio outputs — recorded, live, and streamed content.
- Design the visual architecture of live broadcasts: on-screen graphics, lower-thirds, transitions, overlays, and branding elements.
- Develop storyboards, mood boards, and design templates that bring complex messages to life visually.
- Shape and maintain the studio’s creative identity to mirror a global newsroom — dynamic, precise, and brand-right.
Studio & Broadcast Design
- Collaborate with production and AV teams to design backdrops, lighting, and stage environments suitable for both live and recorded formats.
- Guide the visual setup for multi-camera shoots, LED wall compositions, and interactive screens.
- Define broadcast graphics standards — framing ratios, color grading, data display, and animation systems.
Live Streaming & Production Direction
- Partner with producers and technical directors during live broadcasts to ensure seamless creative execution.
- Supervise rehearsals, live transitions, and visual cues to maintain visual continuity and composure under time pressure.
- Create brand-consistent visual assets for webcasts, hybrid events, and live-streamed leadership communications.
Innovation & Continuous Evolution
- Introduce newsroom-style innovation: live graphics, data visualizations, and AI-driven video formats.
- Collaborate with tech and comms teams to explore new tools for virtual production, AR, and real-time graphics.
- Anticipate trends in digital broadcasting and corporate storytelling to keep the studio experience cutting-edge.
Team Collaboration & Mentorship
- Mentor designers, editors, and motion artists — fostering excellence in design and live production craft.
- Collaborate closely with communication leads, event producers, and brand teams to ensure unified storytelling.
- Champion high creative standards and message alignment across all studio formats.
Skills and Attributes for Success
- Proven expertise in art direction for live or studio production, preferably in a newsroom, broadcast, or hybrid corporate setup.
- Strong design sensibility with deep understanding of motion graphics, lighting, and set design for live environments.
- Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, with familiarity in live graphics tools (e.g., vMix, OBS, Vizrt, Unreal Engine, or similar).
- Strong grasp of camera framing, transitions, and broadcast composition.
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills to bridge creative and technical teams.
- Calm under pressure — able to make real-time creative calls during live sessions.
Experience & Qualification
- 8–12 years of experience in art direction, broadcast design, or live production.
- Experience working with live-streaming and hybrid event setups.
- Bachelor’s degree in Visual Communication, Design, or related field.
What We Offer
At EY GDS, you’ll help pioneer a new era of corporate storytelling — where live conversations, leadership broadcasts, and creative design come together to inform, engage, and inspire.
You’ll work in a high-energy studio that mirrors the pace of a newsroom — where every project challenges you to blend design precision, storytelling power, and live agility.
